What is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principle that different areas of the feet (and sometimes hands and ears) correspond to different organs, glands and systems of the body. By applying specific pressure techniques to these reflex points, a trained reflexologist can promote relaxation, improve function and encourage the body's natural healing processes.
Reflexology has a long history across many cultures, including ancient Egypt, China and India. Today, it is widely used as a complementary approach to health and wellbeing.

What to Expect
You will remain clothed for the treatment, removing only your shoes and socks. Your reflexologist will begin with a consultation and a relaxing foot soak or warm towel preparation. Using thumbs, fingers and knuckles, they will systematically work through the reflex points of both feet, noting areas of tension or sensitivity which may indicate corresponding areas of imbalance in the body.
Sessions are deeply relaxing. Many clients fall asleep. After your session, you may notice increased energy, or a period of tiredness as the body begins its healing response — both are normal.
